3 PANEL NORO FELTED BAG

Needle size 10 1/2 or 11 straight and circular.

4 Skeins Noro Kureyon, each a different color scheme
1 Skein of any kind of "fun fur" yarn

(3 skeins for bag, 1 skein for flat handle)

Each panel is made by casting on 15 stitches, knit in stockinette, use one full skein (each a different color) for each panel.

You can vary the pattern -- for example knit 5 panels for a bag wider across, or knit each panel shorter to have a bag not as long.
Then line up the 3 panels and place right sides together. Sew together with Noro (inside out).

Then fold the entire bag in half lengthwise.

Sew together the 2 sides from top (opening) down to the folded corner.

Turn bag to right side on outside.

Pick up stitches around the top, (open end) and put on circular needle, add Lion Brand Fun Fur (or any fun fur/novelty yarn of your choice) almost one full skein held together with the Noro.
Place marker at the beginning of the first round and

knit at least 10 rounds or until you have a wide enough trim.
TIP: PURL these top rows of the Fur with Noro around the top border ---- it will make the novelty portion stand out more and finish the top edge nicely.

Cast off when you have a wide enough top trim - at least 2 - 3 inches.

dimensions unfelted --- 23 inches long by 11 inches wide.

FLAT HANDLE PATTERN

1 full skein Noro Kureyon

Cast on 15 onto double pointed needles size 10 1/2 or 11.

Knit every stitch except for the last 2.

Slip the last 2 stitches PURLWISE.

Turn and repeat....knitting every stitch except the last 2, slip last 2 purlwise, turn, repeat......

cast off as usual when it's as long as you want.

You can use any ODD number of stitches for this depending upon how wide you want your handle.

This creates a really nice FLAT handle that doesn't curl on the sides.

I sewed the handle to the sides of the bag on the inside and FELTED.

Make sure that the bag felts inside and STAYS inside the pillow case or else the strap/handle will get misshaped and all tangled up.

final dimensions after felting--- 13 inches long by 9 1/2 inches wide
